I think I'm printing this lunch list for summer ☀️

Hi Reader,

I was recently updating my Allergy-Friendly Lunches and Snacks post from a few years ago when I realized something.

I'm actually going to print out my own list for myself this summer!

While I originally wrote it for school lunches, many of the ideas work just as well for camp, pool days, road trips, and busy summer afternoons. It reminded me of several make-ahead options that can help break the cycle of serving the same lunches and snacks over and over again.

If you have a tween or teen at home, many of these ideas can even be prepared independently once ingredients are washed, cut, and ready to go.

Whether your child is heading to camp, spending the day at the pool, traveling, or simply home for the summer, having a variety of easy meal and snack ideas can make life a little easier.

The list includes make-ahead lunches, protein-rich snacks, allergy-friendly options, and simple combinations for those days when you're running out of ideas.

You can find the full list here.

Have a wonderful week!

Hi Reader! Several years ago, my family joined a community garden that is about a five-minute walk from our house. Every couple of days, I walk over to weed, check on the plants, and see what is growing. It gives me a little exercise, some quiet time, and a chance to catch up with neighbors. This year we are growing lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, several varieties of tomatoes, and plenty of basil. There is something incredibly satisfying about watching tiny plants turn into food that...

Healthy nutrition for all! As exciting as this time of year is, I also know this is when food routines can start feeling more complicated for families managing food allergies, picky...
